Adolescence, with all its confusing changes can be a time of real danger to young people. It is a time of great temptation to experience new ideas and new ways of being. Peer pressure, bullying, substance abuse, anti social behaviour and perhaps even criminal offences can all play a part of a young persons life. Independence and decision making becomes more important to the young person. Therefore, parents and teachers have a responsibility to help build a foundation from which the young person can make decisions that will positively impact their life.
At Wembley Choi Kwang Do our Martial Art classes are designed to focus on developing self control, self respect, self esteem and self confidence. We encourage our teenagers to build a better future for themselves.
Our classes are delivered by Master Keith Banfield and his team of highly qualified instructors who specialise in helping teenagers have a positive outlook in life and develop attributes such as perseverance, self-discipline, honesty, humility and managing emotions such as anger, fear, frustration and anxiety.
We know that if an activity is not fun and interesting teenagers will lose interest. Therefore, the physical work-outs are designed from the outset to be fun and dynamic, to improve muscular strength and fitness whilst learning the very valuable skills needed for self-defence. Our classes are taught in a positive and non competitive environment, where teenagers feel safe and are encouraged to set positive goals and strive to achieve them.
